Devil's Club Elixir

Oplopanax horridus (Opolo-armored , Panax-heal all, Horridus-to stand on end fiercely) literally translated: Fiercely armored heal all. A native plant to the Pacific Northwest and sacred to many, having a diverse history of medicinal and spiritual uses. When taken accordingly, it is a potent and trusting ally.

Traditionally this plant is used as an adaptogen, a respiratory tonic and may assist in late afternoon blood sugar regulation if prepared as tea.* I personally enjoy it most before a brisk walk or hike or in warm tea mid-afternoon.

A renowned herbalist by the name or Ryan Drum has done extensive work on Devils Club (Oplopanax) as well as on the benefits of Seaweeds found in the PNW.

This medicine is an annual single harvest, single batch medicinal with a low yield. The selective harvest is in respect to the preservation of the plant and the ecosystems it belongs to.
